What stays private
Your family photos, memories, journal entries, family tree, and any recipe you mark private are end-to-end encrypted on your device before they’re stored. Only the family members you invite can decrypt them. Our servers hold sealed data they cannot open — and if you delete something, it is gone for good, because we have no master key.
What you can choose to share
Traditions and recipes you decide to publish — to inspire other families on the world traditions map — are stored in the clear so they can be discovered and searched. These are always clearly marked as public, and the choice is always yours. Nothing becomes public by default.
